| The next stage was to build a front for the main
tunnel area which travels under the upper level. Easy
access was needed so it was decidied to build something
which was removable. A 2ft x 1.5ft base was made
consisting of a tunnel, grazing land and a country
cottage built onto the cliff face. The cottage was scratch built by Tom Ward who also built the canal. It's got a whitewashed peble dash finish to it with climbing plants at the front. The whole section can be lifted up and put to one side, when there is a need to access the larger tunnel behind it. More pictures soon. |
