WREKIN HAVOCK
Gauge 1 by
Richard Ough
Wrekin Havock was built to demonstrate it
is possible to build large scale models of small prototypes, and run
them in a space usually associated with the smaller scales.
All of the trains are either run by
battery power or steam. The layout is based back in the 1960's
Wrekin Havock is the headquarters of the Wrekin Anti-Tank ranges and its
supporting narrow gauge railway. Although a military railway,
weekends see some trains venturing up the line to the range head at
"Neves Castle". The range connects with the ex GWR/LNWR mainline
to Shrewsbury at Allscott. The line is gradually being run down as
it is rumoured that the ranges will be closed after the next Defence
White paper which is due shortly. All of the trains are either run
by battery power or steam.
