PINE RIDGE
RAILROADERS
HO LAYOUT
Welcome to the Pine Ridge Railroaders from
Oshawa, Ontario. We have about thirty members and are always looking for
new members to get involved.
The HO modular layout is made up of 10
modules with a total size of 4.87 by 2.75 meters (16 by 9 feet).
This layout was converted to Digital Command
Control in the summer of 2001. We chose to use the Empire Builder by
Digitrax as our Command Station on this layout and after a few birthing
pains, we seem to have almost everything in order. The HO layout can be
controlled by either tether or Infra Red. One of our members has a radio
frequency controller and receiver and occasionally this gets added to
the layout.
With our most recent move to a new
clubhouse, we do not have enough room to expand the layout any further
so they will stay as they are... strictly portable.
Our objective is to promote the hobby of
model railroading and an interest in the history of railroading in the
Durham Region. We hope our
