OLD BRANDLETHORPE
N Gauge By
David Balderstone
The railway is roughly
based on the East Lancs Railway. The line is a single line only
with 3 hidden sidings. The layout is still under construction with
the tram line being worked on currently. The layout has taken me
about 1 year to sort out and re-develop. A few track changes have
been made over the past 6 months and the hidden sidings have just been
introduced.
There are various
diesel locomotives of all regions. As I like the class 37 and 47,
I have collected various liveries of the locos for the layout.
Brandlethorpe town is
a little country town with a main line link. The line has 4 158
DMU sets and over 20 diesel locomotives that change from time to time.
The tramline is a
tourist attraction and the trains bring in the tourists for them to look
around the town and have a ride on the Brandlethorpe tramway.
As you can see work has
been done on the Brandlethopre Line. We now have the Stoneview
South extension line.
Brandlethorpe
We have added Brandlethorpe Mews to the line, which are some houses to
cover the hidden sidings and route to Stoneview South. There has
been a lot of fencing and cosmetic touches to the original pictures.
The tram line has been worked on, new houses and people and houses have
been added.
Stoneview South
This is an extension to the line. We have a station with one
platform to take large and small trains, plus there is now two holding
lines for traffic to come in and out of.
