Norwich
OO Gauge by
Sam Blount
I am relatively new to actually
maintaining a layout and started with a 6'x4' layout in my room with a
couple of locos. But now my layout is a 12'x8' garage full. since I
live in Norwich I guess it should be called Norwich but it doesn't
really look like it the layout itself has 3 platforms and 6 roads in
the station.
It has 3 rather large engine maintenance
sheds as I have well over 100 locos ranging from an 03 to 7 73's. I'm
not a steam fan or really an electric one so that's why I only have
diesel. as you may see in the pictures my favourite loco was the RFD
37185 which was professionally weathered.
The locos that I have are: 1 x blue 03, 6 x
08's,1 x 09, 3 x 20's, 1 x 24, 1 x 25, 1 x 26, 8 x 31's, 8 x 33's, 1 x hymek,
13 x 37's as they're my favourite loco, 2 x 40's, 2 x Hst's, 10 x 47's,
1 x 50, 1 x 52 and 55, 5 x
56's with 31 wheels as the hornby wheels don't like my layout, 2
x 57's, 6 x 59's, 5 x 60's, 3 x 66's, 2 x67's and 7 x 73's.
I don't bother with saying well that loco
doesn't work at Norwich. The way I see it is if you like it buy it. as
there are so many locos I also need lots of stock so I have 14 lots of
stock and 5 units. I have a lot of scenery but this is all raised up as
the track takes up a lot of room. As my dad works for national express
EA they were giving away rail signs so we put some on our wall to give
it that authentic look.
I would say this layout is from the early
90's to present day as I have loco's with no lights to freightliner
66's. the main feature of the layout is the station which is under
constant change.
