CYFFORDD BONT NEWYDD
N Gauge by Colwyn MRC
Cyffordd Bont Newydd or Newbridge
Junction is loosely based on the Welsh/English borders somewhere in
Mid-Wales.
Buildings are all scratch built, some
being donated to the club some years ago. The exceptions are the
signal box and shop window displays. Originally all signals were
made from ratio kits and were non working, however the layout has been
recently been taken from store and is undergoing a major overhaul by
members interested in N-gauge modelling.
The fictional history is the line was
mainly GWR with LMS running powers. The track emerging from the
girder bridge is BR and you may see a diesel railcar along with
2push-pull" trains serving the town from the main line. All other
tracks are part of the preserved railway hence a good mixture of locos
and stock can be seen. Originally all signals were made from ratio
kits and were non working, however the layout has been recently been
taken from store and is undergoing a major overhaul by members
interested in N-gauge modelling.

Model Railway Exhibition, LLandudno. Presented by Colwyn
