BLACKROCK COLORADO
Z Gauge by
Graham & Damian Jones
Blackrock Colorado is a layout built by
father and son team, Graham and Damian. It is loosely based on
American practices in the mid 60's to late 70's and depicts a coal
mine and industrial area located in the outskirts of the fictitious town
of Blackrock, on the edge of the Colorado desert.
The layout is totally freelance and
therefore allows for the running of locomotives and stock from several
railroad companies. The layout is built in the smallest
commercially available model railway scale, which is Z gauge. With
a scale of 1:220 and a track gauge of only 6mm, these powerful yet tiny
models can be seen hauling long freight and passenger trains.
Pictures taken at The Welsh National
Model Railway Exhibition, LLandudno. Presented by Colwyn
Model Railway Club.
