BEAUMONT VILLE
OOGauge by Norman Beaumont
Beaumont Ville is a
00 gauge exhibition layout built by Norman E Beaumont. It's
a large ficticious town with 2 Stations. The line carries
farm produce, coal, cattle, hops & grain for the
brewery and of course passengers. There are also trams
which serve the streets.
The track is Peco
Streamline, with a mixture of point radii, the Station
building, cattle dock, signals and signal box (in yard)
are all ratio kits. Loco shed and level crossing signal
box are dapol and all other buildings are either scratch
built or card kits. The turntable is a Peco kit and is
turned by a mixture of Meccano parts and brass rods. The
backgrounds are a mixture of Townscene and Peco. Rolling
stock consists of Hornby, Airfix, Mainline, Lima, Dapol
and some kit built. Norman is a member of the Colwyn M.R.C.
and Tramway & Light Railway Society.
