WHAT
TO SEE ALONG THE TRACK
|
 LLANGOLLEN STATION
|
Llangollen Station. The
station is by the bridge over the River Dee, and
is an easy walk from the town centre car parks,
the BBC Dr Who exhibition, the canal wharf and
the motor museum. Refreshments, a souvenir shop
and disabled parking are available at the station.
|
| Berwyn Station. Perched
high above the river gorge, Berwyn has one of the
most spectacular settings of any railway station.
The toilets and tea shop are open during high
season weekends, and a 15 minute walk takes you
to the Horseshoe Falls, where the Llangollen
Canal leaves the River Dee. |

 DEESIDE HALT
|
Deeside Halt.
An example of a rural halt seldom seen these days,
the platform serves an isolated passing loop and
signal box. |
| Glyndyfrdwy Station.
Completely reconstructed on the site of the
original Glyndyfrdwy station, this is at present
a representation of the many small LNWR stations
in North Wales which no longer exist. It features
toilets, a tea room in high season, a children's
play area, a level crossing, and a local post
office nearby. |

 CARROG STATION
|
Carrog Station. Set
in a beautiful location, Carrog has been
painstakingly restored to pristine, early 1950's
condition. There is a tea room, toilets, a car
and coach park, and close by, a riverside
footpath, friendly local pub and post office. An
ideal place to stop over between trains. There is
also a good campsite opposite the station. |
